2016! New year, new project - A travel diary made for all to see

Happy New Year! Day one of my visual travel diary - January 1st 2016. This is a Pohutakwawa flower, known in New Zealand as a Christmas tree as they are in full, amazing bloom at this time of year. They line the campsite we're staying in and this evening we have had a brilliant swim in one of the bays in Wellington so I thought it would be a good place to take a picture of it!
